Currently, Lead Equities manages two private equity funds (LE I and LE II) with total equity capital under management being in excess of EUR 115m. The Lead Equities funds invest in lower mid-market companies in German speaking Europe in which Lead Equities can act as a catalyst to transform and grow operations.
LE I, its maiden fund, was launched in 2003 with total equity under management being EUR 49m. The majority of the funds have already been invested and realised, with two investments still being managed.
Subsequently, LE II was launched in late 2007 with total equity under management being EUR 66m. So far, Lead Equities has invested in two Austrian, as well as one German company and expanded those via 5 add-on acquisitions.
